Social media help is available for people. In fact if you just go to Google you can find article after article sharing with you tips, trends, insight, and strategy ideas from hundreds of people across the globe.
So we know there is no lack of content. A solid social media strategy is imperative for businesses, churches and non-profits.
But what do we do when we know we need social media help but we want someone that gets ‘your' business and your audience?
The last several months I have been wondering where is my ‘place' in this social marketing bubble.
I've been curious for sure, but more so than that I have been praying for God to give me direction.
True direction on the people and where He wants me to serve.
Because if I'm being completely honest and transparent, I'm not here to be well known, make a lot of money and have no purpose.
I want to have purpose.
I want to serve people well.
And I want to be a great steward of the blessings that God has given me.
I'd genuinely rather have 5 hours of success if it is what God's plan is for me than ten years elsewhere.
So this blog post may be non-traditional, and I'm completely okay with that. I'm going to share with you in a concise way who it is that I feel God is calling me to serve.
Four Key Areas: My Niche Audience
-
Churches –
I have been an active member of several churches across the country due to our family having been a military family (My husband got out in 2010 due to medically separating with feet issues). Now that we enjoy living just on the outskirts of Columbia, South Carolina, I've had the pleasure of serving several churches with their social media marketing needs. There are several churches getting social media right but there are far more churches way behind the times as it relates to their marketing and they absolutely need to an ultimate social media strategy for churches to remain relevant to their audience. These are just a few of my passion reasons for serving churches. If I can use my skill set to have eternal consequences then that is such a pleasure and a great reason to wake up each day and serve my clients.
-
Christian Business Owners –
As a Christian business owner myself in two different states (currently I'm still running my first company ElizabethtownFamily.com in Kentucky as well as Sweet Tea Social Marketing that I run in Columbia, South Caroline) I feel there is a lack for leadership related help for Christian business owners. I enjoy working with both male and female clients and leaders and am always encouraged to be able to add content, training and social media tips and tricks to lift up a fellow Christian. This is by no means to be an exclusion of non-Christians. But more so a place for those of faith to know that they can boldly enjoy their faith in their business community as well
-
Non-Profits –
It has been my pleasure to work with several Chambers of Commerce, both in Kentucky as well as in South Carolina. And from my experience I met Presidents and Directors that were consistently needing help with their social media marketing efforts. Both Chambers, as well as other non-profits, have such potential to leverage social media because they have an audience of ‘raving fans' that are interested in their non-profit. When you are able to leverage that audience and social media combined with smart social media strategy, you can do great things to not only build brand awareness with your current audience but you can have a much greater reach on social media to find new raving fans and people that want the non-profit to be a huge success. Clarity Solutions for Women in Elizabethtown, Kentucky is one that I've enjoyed personally.
-
Locally-Based Businesses –
In the world of social media I see dozens of marketers working to help people have thriving online businesses and have the entire world as their audience but having been a locally-based business owner myself with ElizabethtownFamily.com, I know exactly the pain points of local businesses not wanting to go out of businesses for all the large chains coming into town depleting their stores and services of clients and customers. I've worked with dozens of small business owners and know that the power of social media can be at work in their strategies. So often these businesses feel they don't have the monetary resources to effectively do social media well and in fact, with some resources and systems in place, they absolutely can leverage social media for their financial gain.

Since we know that the need for social media marketing is there, it is my pleasure to serve via speaking, consulting and training in these markets.
Let the data speak for itself. Social media is here to stay and it is impacting the way people choose to worship, where to worship, where to shop and how they spend their time.
Social Media Strategy is Imperative for Businesses, Churches and Non-Profits
